If I can take any kind of shortcut with cooking, I will find it! So when I say these bars are quick and easy, you can trust they are. This recipe has four ingredients and needs only a saucepan and baking dish. Goes into the oven for about 20 minutes. I eat a packaged granola … Continue reading Quick and Easy Granola Bars

Why I Love Bliss Balls

March 10, 2016July 16, 2017Leave a comment

If you're an Instagrammer and search the hashtags #healthysnack or #energysnack, you may be surprised to see photos of little dough-like balls instead of the expected fresh fruit or protein bars. They have various names—bliss balls, energy bites, energy balls. I find them to be truly blissful for two reasons: 1. They're easy to make, quick … Continue reading Why I Love Bliss Balls

Soft Pretzels

March 6, 2016March 24, 2016Leave a comment

Who doesn't love big soft pretzels? I tasted my first one in New York City from a streetside pretzel vendor: super velvety soft on the inside, chewy on the outside with sparks of saltiness from those big crystals. I haven't been able to find anything like them here. Auntie Anne's mall pretzels are too greasy, … Continue reading Soft Pretzels

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

March 2, 2016March 17, 2016Leave a comment

In recent years, I haven't been much of a cookie person. I buy them for my son to take to school but otherwise they wouldn't make my shopping list. However this fall season I've found myself stealing a few from my son's stash to eat with afternoon tea. We have the packaged soft chocolate chip … Continue reading Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Quick and easy to whip up with automatic portion control because the recipe makes just one serving. Ingredients 1 frozen banana* 1/4 to 1/2 cup plain soy milk (just to thin out a bit) … Continue reading Chocolate Banana “Ice Cream”

What's the fuss about low-carb 🤔 My coworker's 4 week old new puppy Tucker 🥹🧡❤️ ...reminds me to wind down for the weekend, let go of work, and enjoy our blessings! Take a break from eating! 🍽️ Are you always snacking between meals? Do you graze right before bed? Could look at this all day 😵‍💫 The @mitmuseum was beyond my brain capacity but a nice Sunday afternoon outing (free parking), open until 5pm and tasty eateries all around 😋 Super impressed with @pressedcafe 👉Newton/Needham line. Big menu, plenty of vegan and lower-carb options, huge space with energetic vibe, and staff were amazing. Fast, attentive, constantly walking around checking on people. It's fast casual but with waitstaff! I'm not Catholic but appreciate both the immenseness and minuteness in detail in their churches. Some call it too ornate but really even the most grande are only a speck of God's magnificence Even as a dietitian and diabetes educator, I was perplexed. Realized that diet, exercise, and body size were only part of it. Vegetarian options at "regular" restaurants rarely taste good, but this was 💯👉quinoa bowl @taverninthesquare The ultimate pink explosion experience just outside Boston🩷🌸🧁🎀🩷! You'll get a private room for delicious afternoon tea (60+ varieties) with sammies, scones, and mini pastries in an impeccable setting - Sarah the owner prides herself on detail and a personalized experience. They book 3 weeks out and 4+ weeks for Sat/Sun
